Appointment General Manager, Australia/Asia Orica Mining Services

Orica Limited today announced the appointment of John Beevers to the role of General Manager, Australia/Asia, Orica Mining Services.  This is a key appointment to the Company’s largest strategic business unit and John will lead the continued growth of Mining Services in this important region.

John is currently General Manager Chemical Services and previously has held a number of senior positions within Orica Mining Services.

In his new role, John will report to Philippe Etienne, CEO Mining Services and will remain on the Group Executive.

This change is effective Monday 18 September 2006.  An appointment to the General Manager Chemical Services role will be announced in due course.
