Dr. Greg Zwolak, reflecting on recent global experiences of Orica's PRO Service team, presented observations on the cost of measurement variability at the 2017 ALTA Gold conference, held in Perth on 20-27th
Turning information into insights, anonymous data from Orica's Process Health Check benchmarking program is regularly compiled and analysed to seek opportunities to improve industry profitability. When comparing site practices and data, inconsistent measurement practices have been identified as a key source of introduced variability that contributes to avoidable gold losses; at a significant cost to the industry.
We recently collated and shared these findings at the ALTA Gold & Precious Metals conference in Perth, Australia where Dr. Greg Zwolak, Orica Senior Metallurgist, presented the paper "Barriers to Best Practice: Variability in Measurement Practices Across the Gold Processing industry."
