The five main steps of our selection process are:
Step 1 - Online application
Once applications are open in your region, you can lodge your resume, covering letter and there will be several short answer questions for you to respond to.
Step 2 - Phone interview
After completing your application suitable candidates can expect a brief phone interview. Where we will run over a series of questions and confirm suitability
Step 3 - Cognitive abilities assessment
You’ll be contacted to complete the on-line Cognitive Abilities test. This is designed to highlight your ability to solve work-related problems and acquire new knowledge on the job. Questions can include multiple choice, sentence completion, short answer, or true-false response.
Step 4 - Online video interview
This step gives you an opportunity discuss your skills and job fit. Generally these questions prompt you to reflect on a past situation to answer a specific question. This gives the us an indication on how you might handle similar situations in the work place.
Step 5 - Assessment centre and interview
The Assessment process allows you to learn more about Orica and demonstrate your skills in a number of different situations, individually, and in a team based (virtual) environment, to help us understand how you might operate in the work environment.
