Carbon Capture and Utilisation

Australian clean technology developer, Mineral Carbonation International (MCi) is constructing a world-first mobile demonstration plant at our site.

MCi uses an engineering process to transform captured carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions into solid materials known as ‘carbonates’ that can be used to manufacture a range of building and construction products.

Detailed engineering designs are currently being developed and the plant is expected to be built by the end of 2023.
