The RST Corrosion Proof Vibrating Wire Piezometers (VW2190 and VW2191-series) are specially designed for extreme corrosive environments including use under demanding acidic geotechnical conditions, such as in heap leach mineral processing facilities. They provide excellent long-term accuracy and reliability.

Overview
RST’s Corrosion-Proof Vibrating Wire Piezometers (VW2190 and VW2191 series) utilize the VW2100-series principle (vibrating wire technology), while providing enhanced corrosion protection. Vibrating Wire technology provides immunity to electrical noise, tolerates wet wiring common in geotechnical applications, and provides a robust design for long-term monitoring in harsh conditions.
VW2190-Series: Corrosion-Proof Piezometer
- Heavy-duty VW transducer in 316 stainless steel body.
- Glycol-filled bladder with PVC housing to protect the diaphragm.
- External anti-corrosive layer:
UV-resistant, solvent-free tape Heat-shrink adhesive for added durability. - Prevents corrosion on sensitive diaphragm in saline groundwater.
VW2191-Series: Acid-Resistant Piezometer
- Includes all VW2190 features plus enhanced cable and Piezometer body protection for highly acidic monitoring environments.
- Uses EL342202 signal cable: 2-pair, 22 AWG, orange HDPE jacket (0.25” Ø). HDPE selected for acid resistance and long-term durability.
- Recommended usage is in highly acidic conditions for reliable monitoring.
