The time you spend taking readings in the field is valuable, which is why all of RST’s Readout units are made to store data from over 250 distinct instrument locations per route and have short download times, allowing you to get the information you need quickly and spend less time on back-and-forth trips.

The VW2106 Vibrating-Wire Readout reads, displays, and logs data from both vibrating wire sensors and thermistors and runs on field-replaceable AA batteries. It also has a channel expansion module to allow for easy reading of instruments with multiple VW sensors such as Borehole Extensometers and Load Cells.

RST also produces Terminal Stations that can be installed on site to manually read vibrating-wire sensors and their thermistors. Each station can connect up to 24 sensors and are NEMA 4X and meet IP65 criteria for demanding conditions. In the latest revision of this product, in addition to being able to take manual readings, they are capable of having daisy chained communication to each other to provide a remote junction box functionality for situations where wireless signals may not be possible and signal cables must be routed. It can all be controlled via a FlexDAQ data logger and customized to site requirements.
