The HOPE iLearn Centre’s Terampil Digital Program, supported by the Orica Impact Fund and GroundProbe Indonesia, has completed a successful year of delivery—surpassing participation targets and strengthening digital skills among youth across Indonesia.
This update builds on the initial 2025 impact report and highlights program outcomes from September to December, with continued delivery in Balikpapan, Muara Enim, and Sangatta. Across these regions, the program supported underserved students with essential digital and soft skills to improve employability and future academic opportunities.
Building Practical, Job‑Ready Skills
The Terampil Digital Program focuses on core digital competencies needed in today’s workforce, including:
- Typing and computer fundamentals
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Foundational digital communication
- Soft skills such as personal branding and professional communication
Educators noted increased student confidence, stronger engagement, and improved readiness for real‑world work environments.
Record Participation and Strong Completion Rates
In 2025, the program reached 817 participants, more than double the original target of 380, reflecting strong school partnerships and growing community interest.
Despite different school schedules and local challenges, completion rates remained high:
- Balikpapan: 81%
- Muara Enim: 99%
- Sangatta: 99%
These results demonstrate the commitment of students, facilitators, and educators alike.
Regional Highlights
- Balikpapan: While participation was affected by scheduling conflicts, student engagement remained high. Additional trainers are planned to expand future reach.
- Muara Enim: Teachers reported marked improvements in students’ discipline, computer skills, and character development, alongside increased recognition from local authorities.
- Sangatta: Strong leadership support and added school resources contributed to high participation and sustained student enthusiasm.
Soft Skills Gain Momentum
In October 2025, new soft skills sessions focusing on communication and personal branding were introduced. Student feedback was overwhelmingly positive, confirming the importance of holistic skill development.
These sessions will be expanded in 2026 to further support confidence and professionalism.
Looking Ahead
In 2026, the program will focus on enhanced monitoring and evaluation, deeper school and community collaboration, additional trainers, expanded soft skills delivery, and continued outreach to underserved youth.
With the continued support of the Orica Impact Fund, the Terampil Digital Program remains committed to creating pathways to opportunity through digital empowerment, one skill at a time.
