The SSR-FX, integrated with MonitorIQ® Next, is a next-generation, broad-area monitoring solution built on proven 2D Real Aperture Radar (RAR) technology. It delivers geotechnical confidence across entire mining operations through a scalable, future-ready platform.
Designed to support both short- and long-term monitoring strategies, the SSR-FX detects ductile failures that develop over days to months and tracks slow-moving deformation over months to years, enabling proactive hazard identification and informed long-term planning.

Reliable detection across evolving risk profiles
SSR FX is purpose-built to detect and track movement across vast mine sites, including non-critical and emerging risk areas. Its ability to monitor gradual deformation and long-term geohazards enables earlier identification of changing slope conditions before escalation.
Broad-area coverage, combined with high-confidence data and advanced atmospheric correction, supports full situational awareness across the entire pit.


High-resolution monitoring with adaptive performance
With over 1.4 million pixels per scan and updates every two minutes, SSR-FX delivers high-resolution deformation data for fast, accurate decision-making.
Leveraging 2D Real Aperture Radar (RAR), the system produces fine azimuth angles and small range pixels, ensuring a precise representation of slope movement across large areas. High-speed, adaptive scanning allows the system to respond to changing atmospheric conditions while continuing to track fast-moving deformation.


Trusted data with advanced atmospheric intelligence
SSR-FX maintains constant sub-millimetre deformation accuracy regardless of distance. Whether deployed 30 m or up to 3,500 m from the area of interest, the system delivers consistent, high-confidence measurement performance across the entire monitoring range.
This performance is enabled by interferometric radar technology, which ensures measurement accuracy does not degrade with distance, providing reliable data across both near-field and long-range applications.
Confidence in the data is further enhanced through GroundProbe’s patented Precision Atmospherics®, an advanced correction algorithm that reduces false alarms and improves reliability in dynamic environmental conditions.
